Yes, depending on the content. Gather & Grow loves to amplify voices of under-heard, marginalized, and suppressed people that are undiscovered experts in their field. Content must be related to gardening, foraging, wildcrafting, slow living, or farm-to-fire-cooking.

+ How do I submit a guest blog post idea?

If you have a submission or guest blog post idea, submit your idea through the inquiry form below. Do not share the actual blog post submission yet. In 1-3 sentences, share your idea only. Then, share a short paragraph about who you are, where you are from, and your experience in the field. If your idea aligns with the Gather & Grow blog and content calendar, then we’ll respond to discuss next steps.

+ DOES THIS COURSE TEACH SAFE, SUSTAINABLE & ETHICAL FORAGING & WILDCRAFTING PRACTICES?

Yes! Upholding rigorous sustainable practices that support healthy soils, biodiverse, and healthy ecosystems is my utmost priority as a foraging educator. All of our lessons are crafted to teach students how to be stewards of the ecosystems they forage in, have the lowest possible impact on wild lands, and how to respect cultural traditions connected with plants through the wildcrafted herbal remedies and practices we teach.

+ WILL THIS COURSE TEACH ME HOW TO SAFELY IDENTIFY & USE WILD PLANTS?

Yes! Safety is our top priority! In this course we teach you how to positively identify edible and medicinal wild botanical so you can discern with confidence.

+ WHEN DOES THE COURSE START AND FINISH?

As soon as you enroll in the course, you’ll gain access to modules 1 & 2. Then, as the 2021 growing season progresses new lessons will be released every two weeks. The course will end November 30th, 2021. You'll continue to have access to 100% of the course lessons and downloadable materials that you can revisit anytime for 1 year by using your personal login. The course is completely self-paced and trackable through your student dashboard.

What makes this online classroom unique is that it is created and taught by me - Brianne Dela Cruz. My extensive experience in the garden as well as wild landscapes gives me a unique perspective about how plants and ecosystems work. I take a holistic approach in my teaching, making sure that my students champion safe, sustainable and ethical foraging and wildcrafting practices. I’ve spent thousands of hours researching plants, trecking wild landsccapes, studying soil health, and experimenting with wild foods and wild botanical prepartions. Many online courses only focus on either foraging or herbalism all with high price tags. An none teach you how to develop your intuition and communication with nature - something all indigenous gatheres rely on. Our course infuses detailed information about foraging, wild mediciinal preparations, and wild edible food all in one. It's a bit more well rounded and it's priced in a way that doesn't limit student demographics to only the highly priveledged.

Absolutely! You’ve got this! Once you understand the fundamental botany, foraging, and wildcrafting principles and techniques I teach in these classes, you’ll be able to identify, forage, and use these 20 plants (plus so many more!) with confidence. The fundamental lessons in this course teach you how to develop your plant intuition and give you a foundation to expand upon. After this course, you'll have an established foundation from which you'll easily be able expand your wild botanical knowledge.

+ I LIVE IN THE CITY. ARE THESE CLASSES FOR ME?

Possibly. Many of the plants we cover in this course grow in rural, and wild landscapes, with a few of them growing in suburban areas. If you have access to locations like these then this course will be perfect for you even if you live in a city.

+ I’M NOT LOCATED IN THE US. ARE THESE CLASSES FOR ME?

Yes! All of the plants featured in this course grow abundantly all over the world. There's a good chance you'll be able to locate many of these common and easy to identify plants near you.

+ I'M AN EXPERIENCED FORAGER. IS THIS COURSE FOR ME?

Possibly. While the foundational information about botany and the guidelines of foraging safely, sustainably, and ethically may be somethiing you are familiar with, you may also gain new information about the specific plants we feature in this course.

+ I'M AN EXPERIENCED HERBALIST. IS THIS COURSE FOR ME?

Yes! We cover essential and simple botanical preparations that you are already familiar with, however that is only a small portion of this course. This course focuses much more on identifying, locating, and harvesting wild herbs and edible foods. If you'd like to learn how to forage herbs and wild food safely, sustainably, and ethically to support your herbalism practice then this course is perfect for you.

+ WHEN DOES THE COURSE START AND FINISH?

As soon as you enroll in the course, you’ll gain access to 100% of the course lessons and downloadable materials that you can revisit anytime through a personal login. A total of 26 video lessons are divided into 5 seasonally-based modules so you know exactly what you should be doing in the garden and when through the whole growing season. The course is completely self-paced and trackable through your student dashboard. You can choose to take the whole course prior to the start of your growing season, or pace yourself and track your progress from one season to the next.

+ HOW LONG DO I HAVE ACCESS TO THE COURSE?

You will have unlimited access to all course material for 2 years from the date of your purchase.

+ WILL I RECEIVE ANY BONUS MATERIALS AS PART OF SUBSCRIBING TO THE CLASSES?

Absolutely! You’ve got this! Once you understand the basic gardening principles and techniques I teach in these classes, you’ll be able to grow your own food from your very own thriving garden. The fundamental lessons in this course teach you how to develop your plant intuition. If you don’t have a green thumb now, you’ll surely have one soon.

+ I DON'T HAVE MUCH GARDENING SPACE. ARE THESE CLASSES FOR ME?

Yes. In these lessons I discuss container gardening for the folks that are short on space because just about any vegetable can be grown in a container. I also teach creative small space planting arrangements so you can maximize your harvest in your limited space.

+ I’M NOT LOCATED IN THE US. ARE THESE CLASSES FOR ME?

Yes. Our classes are best suited for folks anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere. The fundamental gardening principles can be adapted to locations in most places around the world, but most easily for the gardeners based in the Northern Hemisphere. You’ll learn how to identify your climate and growing conditions, what plants grow where, and how to adapt these fundamental techniques to different climate areas, and so much more.

+ I'M AN EXPERIENCED GARDENER. IS THIS COURSE FOR ME?

Likely not. If you have zero experience and don’t know where to start, this class is designed just for you. If you’ve been gardening a few years but haven't had much success, then the fundamentals in this course will make you a more knowledgeable and confident gardener. However if you've been gardening for a handful of years and feel confident in your results, the information in this course is likely too basic for you.

+ HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER ONLINE COURSES I'VE SEEN?

What makes this online classroom unique is that it is created and taught by me - Brianne Dela Cruz. I have over 5 years of experience as a Master Gardener and gardening educator. I’ve spent thousands of hours researching plants, soil health, agricultural ecosystems, and experimenting with different sustainable growing techniques to learn what creates the best results. This course will more than pay for itself in one growing season with my time and money-saving tips because you'll know which products and tools you need and which you don't. Moreover, there are no other sustainable gardening courses out there that are quite as comprehensive for beginners while breaking down complex material into digestible and actionable information.



 

Rewilding Club Membership Questions

 

+ Can I join anytime?

Yes. Doors are open for any season, all year long.

+ How much does it cost?

$50 per person, per season.

+ How long do I have access to the Club?

The Rewilding Club is organized by the 4 seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Each season requires a new membership enrollment. It is structured this way to give flexibility (for time commitments and affordability) for those only interested in joining and getting access to content for a single season. Each season lasts about 3 months.

WINTER (Jan-Mar), SPRING (April - June), SUMMER (July - Sept), FALL (Oct - Dec)

Once the season ends, access to the club will be closed for everyone. If you'd like to join the community again for another season, you'll need to enroll again for the new season, pay the seasonal membership fee, and then you'll get access to Club portal again.

+ What do I get for Joining the Rewilding Club.

Your $50 seasonal membership fee gets you access to all online workshops hosted in that season - both live and recorded. You get access to the Club portal that is filled with exclusive content, workshop recording and resources. By joining the community and attending LIVE online workshops you get the opportunity to connect with fellow gardeners and foragers in our network - which means they could be located near you!

+ What if it's half-way through or near the end of the season? Can I still join the club and get all the past events and exclusive content?

Yes! You can join the Rewilding Club each season at any point in time and get access to all the recorded workshops or gatherings, and any of the events that haven't happened yet. If it's the last week of the season, be sure to give yourself a healthy block of time to sit down and watch all the events before access closes to everyone at the end of the month.

+ Can I attend a Workshop or Gathering without joining the Rewilding Club?

Yes! You are more than welcome to join any online workshop or seasonal gathering a la cart through out the season or the year - you'll just have to pay for each individual event. Depending on how many events you are interested in, it may be more cost effective to join the Rewilding Club. The Rewilding Club seasonal membership fee gets you access ALL workshops and gatherings in a given season, AND if you miss an event, you get acceess to the recording.

+ what happens if I can't attend the workshops or gatherings?

No problem. We completely understand that life is demanding and you like to go at your own pace. All of our gatherings and workshops are recorded and uploaded into the Club portal. Log in and watch at your leisure. Unfortunatley, non-members do not get access to workshop recordings so it is advised to be present at the live workshop.

+ Can I share this with a friend?

The Rewilding Club is strictly for those that pay the seasonal membership fee. If you feel like a friend would enjoy what we offer in the club, let them know and send them the link to join! It's always enriching joining workshops with friends!

+ What if it’s not what I expect?

Unfortunatly, we can't process refunds, if it's not what you expect. However, we value feedback, so send us a message sharing your thoughts.

 

+ If i join the club do I get to join the workshops that are hosted in person for free?

No. The Rewilding Club is strictly online and seasonal membership fees only grant access to events and gatherings hosted online. The in person workshops that Brianne hosts, which are also shared on the events calendar, are sponsored by 3rd party locations. While you can certainly attend any in-person workshop, you'll need to purchase tickets separately through the affilited links.

+ How are the online workshops and gatherings hosted?

All online workshops and gatherings are hosted through a private ZOOM call. They're recorded, then uploaded to the Rewilding Club portal within 24 hours. If we do any hands-on activities, you'll find the list of supplies & tools to have ready for the online workshop.

+ Do I have to talk or show my video the zoom gatherings?

You don’t have to, but pretty much everyone does at some point or another. You’ll see we’re a friendly group creating a welcoming, safe space for you to express yourself, be seen, heard, witnessed, and appreciated. But you do you, and if you want to just be present without speaking, that’s ok!

+ How do join a workshop or gathering?

If you join the Rewilding Club: you'll get access to the Club portal where each of the events for that sesason are outlined. Within each event listed is a link to join the LIVE gathering or workshop. After the event has taken place, the recording will be uploaded and you'll be able to view it in the Club portal.

If you enroll in an event a la cart: You'll be emailed a link to join the event LIVE. Unfortunately, only Rewilding Club members get access to event recordings.

+ How much time is required?

No time is required, but if you want to participate in our gatherings or workshops, or listen to the recordings, they’re generally about 1 hour long. Many people listen to the recordings just like they would listen to a podcast.

+ What if I don't have any experience with any of the topics covered in the workshops.

No experience, no problem! We have a mix of beginner to advanced gardeners, foragers, wildcrafters, herbalists, and nature lovers. Th best part about the community is that we all share our experience with one another. All are welcome! No matter your path, these seasonal gatherings and workshops are about connecting to nature and community. It's a ripe environment for learning, sharing, and connecting.

+ I don't like social media - Is this for me?

Absolutely! This idea was born from the desire to authentically connect deeper with like-minded folks from far and wide - outside the framework of social media. Everything we do is on a private zoom call.

+ Is this open worldwide?

Yes! As long as you have internect connection you can join.

+ What if I'm located in the Southern Hemisphere?

No problem! While the majority of our audience is based in the Northern Hemisphere, we'd love to have your perspective. Though not all specific content related to gardening and foraging will be applicable to your region, the greater majority of the content will still be relevant for you.

+ Is this only open to women?

Nope! This is open to anyone who feels truly called to join this inclusive, nature-based community of gardeners, foragers, and seasonal living enthusiasts.
