We are meant to know the land intimately.

To cultivate plants and cook with nature’s bounty.

We are meant to be in relation with the earth, the sun and moon, and with one another.

We are meant to be wild. We are nature.

Don’t let the chaos of modern life tame your magic and deplete your energy any longer.

It’s time to nourish yourself with nature.

Like you, I’ve worked demanding jobs and lived a fast-paced life.
It burnt me out, depleted my energy, and tamed my magic.

To save myself, I began to reconnect to the rhythms of nature through gardening, foraging and wildcrafting.
I self-soothed and nourished my body and soul. I reclaimed my natural wild self.
Gather & Grow is here to help you do the same.

About the Course

Join us at The Kinlands in Riverton, Utah for one season, or a full seasonal year, with Brianne Dela Cruz of Gather & Grow to develop a deep connection to nature through the art of growing herbs, crafting herbal remedies and seasonal living. We’ll plant, tend, harvest, and wildcraft medicinal plant remedies together through the four seasons in addition to learning about and honoring the earth’s cycles. Brianne will lead hands-on crafting workshops in the field, Garden House, and on wild plant walks, covering various topics to fully immerse students into the world of seasonal living and folk herbalism. Students will enjoy making herbal oil infusions, tinctures, oxymels, flower essences, decoctions, syrups, tea blends, herbal body products and more, all while syncing with the earth’s seasonal cycles and celebrating the Equinox’s & Solstices as a community in tune with the land.

A seasonal approach

Because the earth moves in a one-year cycle, ideally, every student would complete a full year of the apprenticeship. Each season holds its own wisdom, magic and lessons. Our practice is not whole until we observe all seasons of the annual cycle - only then are we fully able to root into the rhythms of nature and embody the teachings of the plants, wildlife, earth, sky, and cosmos within our herbal and seasonal living practice. The Winter course is the beginning of the apprenticeship, but you can begin your journey with any season! Space is limited to 18 students per season so you are ensured to receive an intimate and deeply educational mentorship from Brianne.

Meet The Kinlands

A respite tucked into the suburban landscape of Riverton, Utah, The Kinlands is a place to walk a little slower, inhale the scents of the season, and remember your inner wild.

You might know us as a heart-centered spot to buy regional fresh foods and the best pastries for miles. We love that. But The Kinlands is also a place where the simple beauty of life will reveal itself to you — if you let it. We hope you’ll come to witness the rhythms here in every season, whether there’s grass beneath your feet or snow beneath your boots.

Discovering the way as we go, we’re letting the land lead in all that we do. In this way of thinking, the Earth is both teacher and co-conspirator in a shift of consciousness toward wonder, abundance, and reciprocity. When you stop in for a workshop or land experience, or to buy fresh food, gemstones, or an elixir, you become part of this relationship. You’re returning a gift to the land and weaving a future in which our material needs are met reverently, without sacrificing the needs of the Earth or our spirits.
