Throughout this immersive 4 weeks together we’ll dive into winter seasonal wellness, syncing the cycles of nature and human bodies, planning a kitchen & apothecary garden, wild plant foraging, plus crafting a handful of botanical remedies to nourish you and your family through winter.
This seasonal course will give you a foundational understanding of folk herbalism and blue-zone inspired seasonal living. Ask any graduated student - it’s the perfect experience to initiate the transformation of a holistic lifestyle rooted in nature’s rhythms. More than that, it’s an enchanting experience full of valuable information and intimate community connection.

Curriculum
Winter Wellness & Cycles of Nature: Learn the rhythms of the earth, sun, moon as well as human bodies to build a foundational understanding of seasonal wellness and folk herbalism. We’ll dive deep into seasonal wellness from rituals and routines, to nourishment and movement.
2 Crafts: We’ll take our lessons hands-on by crafting custom seasonal remedies infused with botanics from our home-grown apothecary. Students will have at least 2 botanical remedies to take home over the 4 week course.
Garden Planning: Together we’ll plan your 2025 kitchen and apothecary garden to set you up for a successful year brimming with delicious nutrient-dense nourishment from the plants you grow.
Wild Plant Walk & Picnic: Discover & connect with the wild plants available in winter. We’ll forage & craft a wild winter tea blend while connecting deeply with the energy and wisdom of the land while enjoying a light picnic.
Details
Supplies: All specialty supplies will be provided. You only need to bring a notebook and pen as well as your eagerness to connect, show up, and learn.
Class Size: Class sizes are kept small to ensure an intimate and deeply immersive experience for every student. We cap this apprenticeship at 6 students.
Who this class is for: people who have a desire to learn about these topics and who are willing to show up, listen, connect, and actively engage in class.
Who this class is not for: people who have schedule conflicts or hinderances that would prevent them from being fully present and fully participating.
Refund Policy: All sales are final. Due to the level of effort, planning and advanced purchasing of supplies required to provide the best experience possible we do not offer refunds for any reason at any time.
ADA Information: We will be meeting in a small classroom (prim house at the Kinlands) that is not easily wheelchair accessible. There is a bathroom available at the Kinlands shoppe a short distance from our classroom over a mulched path. One of our classes we will go on a wild trail walk and we will meet at the trailhead. Classes are taught in english. We cannot offer sign language. We can make acommodations for neurodivergent students and students with certain learning disabilities. If ADA accommodations might be needed for you, please reach out to us directly to explore options. We’re more than happy to do what we can to try to accommodate you.
Schedule Policy: Schedule is subject to change at the full discretion of Gather & Grow and the Kinlands. Such an event will try to be avoided at all costs, but in the event a schedule change is necessary as a last resort, student’s time and availability will be taken into consideration and alternative options or make up days will be offered. Additional classes will not be offered to compensate for student tardiness or absenteeism.
