Gather with us in the field for an easy walk to identify and learn about local plants in Spring. Brianne Dela Cruz will lead the walk and point out plants along the way. She’ll share information like how to properly identify the plant, common look-a-likes, how the plant changes through the seasons, as well as safe ways to craft with, or eat the plant.
Limited availability.
Important Information:
The walk is on a flat trail, but please come equipped with comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle and dressed for the weather.
You may want to bring a notebook to take notes and to tape in samples of the plants.
The walk will begin promptly at 10:30am, so please arrive a few minutes early so we don’t leave without you.
Curious and well behaved children (accompanied by a parent or guardian) are welcome to register!
We’ll aim to keep the walk to 1 hr.
Location:
Quail Hollow Park Trail, Sandy, UT 84093
*Limited parking is available at the trailhead where Newcastle Drive (Falcon Way) ends. Additional Parking is available at Albion Middle School.
